little.miss.aleeya.

Today I had the pleasure of hanging out with Lee, Kristen, and little Miss Aleeya! Bearing the heat and humidity, we captured a few shots at the park this afternoon.  Aleeya was too cute!  She wanted her Pluto doll, also known as "Hot Dog," in all her pictures!  We managed to capture a few shots without him, but she was determined to have him in the pictures.  Thank ya'll so much for allowing me to capture such sweet moments.  Aleeya is truly a doll!  Here are a few from today. . . .

.storyboard.

Just playing around with a storyboard idea from today's shoot...I couldn't resist putting one together from this set...she is just too, too cute!  In case you can't read the caption below, it reads:  "A child's world is fresh and new and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement."  ~Rachel Carson.

We hung out with the Hayles family on this Father's Day weekend. We were so afraid that we were going to wake up to rain, but fortunately, the morning was actually very nice. Jerry & Stephanie, your babies are beautiful and so well mannered. We had so much fun with them. Here are a few of our favs....Jerry, the first two are just for you on this Father's Day Weekend. =)

Dad actually saw the shot below (great eye Jerry!). I love how this turned out...

.briley's.one.

This morning we hung out with the Ross fam for Miss Briley's 1st Bday shoot. Briley is the bright blue eyed baby girl on the entry to our page. We were excited to have our second shoot with her and the Ross'. Even though it was VERY HOT, Briley was great....even letting us try out our newest little prop, fairy wings. Thanks to mom and dad for hanging in there during this hot morning. Here are a few of our favs....

I just had to add this pic of "the face" to this entry. I think it's so cute!

.brotherly.love.

I got a work out yesterday afternoon running after two of my neighbors, John David (Jay) and Holt. These brothers are ALL BOY! They were so funny...one minute they were agitated at each other and the next, they were hugging and kissing! One thing was for sure, posing them was sort of out of the question...I had to just sit back and capture their actions, which to me, make for the best pics because they are real. =) Kristi, thanks for letting me photograph your gorgeous little boys. They are a lot of fun and I know you have a blast with them. Here are a few from yesterday...more to come soon!

.edit.

As explained on our website, we feel a truly great picture only BEGINS behind the camera. After each session, we spend hours in our "digital darkroom" to ensure each image is perfect...enhancing color and exposure. While this process is somewhat time consuming, it is very important in the overall quality and feel of our images. This also explains our need for up to two weeks to prepare proofs for clients....longer for weddings.

With that said, we thought it might be fun to show a few before edit/after edit pics from our latest bride and groom session, so you can get a feel for just what we're talking about.

Notice in the picture immediately below, we even removed a column from the original picture, which we felt was an eye sore. Note, we don't LIKE to remove things in the editing process if we can at all move them in real life (less work for us on the back end), but in this instance, no one was going to be physically moving a column out of the way. =)

.blue.eyed.ben.

This afternoon, I got the opportunity to meet little Benjamin!  Ben has the most GORGEOUS blue eyes that I couldn't get enough of.  He was just so handsome and the sweetest thing! Thanks to Brad and Tonya for letting me capture their little cutie.  Here are a few from today...
